The Big Three: An Inspiring Lift

The world can be a crazy place. Sometimes it helps to step back and list a few of the things you’re grateful for. I’m making it a habit each week to list three blessings. Here’s what I’m grateful for this week, December 21-27.

—Saying thank you. The chance to let family and friends know that I’m thankful to them for thinking of me at Christmas. We don’t write thank you notes anymore, but it’s still good to say thank you when we can.

A new year, a new opportunity. An inspirational lift, because we all need a pat on the back once in a while.

—Don’t go yet. Santa Claus may be back in the North Pole. We may have to make a trip to the store to return a present or two. However, I try to make the warmth, love and joy of the season last the entire year.

It’s one step at a time. Yes, keep the faith.

Celebrating the past and looking forward to the future.

  • “The past is a canceled check, the future a promissory note, and the present is cash in hand.” —Dr. Leo Buscaglia.
  • “No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.” —Buddha.
  • “And now we welcome the new year, full of things that have never been.” —Rainer Maria Rilke
  • “The magic in new beginnings is truly the most powerful of them all.” —Josiyah Martin

  1. I still feel like January 1 is a time to start anew! But I’m going to try to do this year is be more in the moment and less on the phone. I think that’s what I tried last year.
Wishing you and your family, a happy healthy new year!!!
