The Big Three: Time to decorate

The world can be a crazy place. Sometimes it helps to step back and list a few of the things you’re grateful for. I’m making it a habit each week to list three blessings. Here’s what I’m grateful for this week, November 23-29.

—Clean sheets. You jump in bed with them and you never want to leave!

—Countdown to Christmas. For those of you that celebrate, there’s 26 Days and counting until Christmas. That gives you lots of time to get your favorite blogger, ahem, a Christmas present.

British supermarket company – Sainsbury’s

—A ray of sunshine. Sunlight through a window.

We’ve decorated some for Christmas. I’m told by the boss that we’re going to be decorating some more this weekend. Wish me luck. I need it.

  1. It’s supposed to be a snowy day in Iowa, so my Favorite Guy got our big wreath hung on the front porch. We look a little festive. I’m thankful for morning coffee, leftover pumpkin pudding (can’t have the crust), and yes, clean sheets!

  2. These darker fall days are hard and often long stretches of gray. So I hear you on the ray of sunshine making such a difference in boosting the mood!

    1. If I gotta have this cold stuff — and it’s definitely gotten cold this weekend — then send in the snow!!! ❄️❄️❄️ Yhe news is saying we may get some this week but I think most of it will be well north of us. Stay safe! Remember to put on your snow shoes!!! 🤣🤣🤣😎😎😎

      1. You bet…on its way, LOL! Paul just came in – again – from shoveling and snow blowing. I think we got a solid 12″…plenty to spare and send over the Atlantic to you, dear one! ❤️😜❤️

  3. I know some folks who keep gratitude journals and find something to be grateful for every day. I can’t say I am looking forward to Christmas as it is connected to a sad event in my life. I am trying to decide whether I want to decorate this year. Anyhow I’m happy for people who still enjoy the holidays and hope it will be all you wish for.

    1. I’ve been doing my Big Three all year. It’s been an interesting experience. I’ll probably write about it at some point. I thought I would run out of things to say . . . but it’s been the opposite experience. Take care of yourself this Christmas season. The holidays can be hard. I try to forget about expectations and remember the reason why they matter to me. Take care.

    1. Now this is Great Wisdom Wynne!!!!! We like to clean up the house before we travel anywhere. My kids always give me a hard time about it, but I tell them that I don’t mind coming home then. They still shake their heads but I think there’s somethign there. Ha, ha.
