Getting into the spirit – Part II

Last week, I started collecting a few Christmas movie lines that remind me about what makes this a great time of year and am sharing them over the holiday season. Be sure to check out Part I. Here’s the second in the series.

“You’ll shoot your eye out kid!”—Ralphie, A Christmas Story

“Oh, Christmas isn’t just a day; it’s a frame of mind.” —Kris Kringle, Miracle on 34th Street

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!”— Kevin McCallister, Home Alone 2

“No one should be alone on Christmas.” —Cindy Lou Who, How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Teddy: “Can’t you just wave your hand, and like, Jedi mindtrick the cops? Santa Claus: “I’m Santa Claus, Teddy, not Yoda.” —Christmas Chronicles

“We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corn, and syrup.” —Buddy, Elf

“What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I’ll throw a lasso around it and pull it down.” —George Bailey, It’s a Wonderful Life

  1. I was looking forward to part 2 of your series and now waiting patiently for part 3. The quotes certainly bring the joy of Christmas to my heart. Thank you, Brian.

  2. I could fill an entire blog post with Clark Griswold quotes, but I’ll go in a different direction for my contribution:

“Only one thing in the world could’ve dragged me away from the soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window.” (Ralphie, of course)
