A day of reflection

We owe a debt to those who protect our freedoms.

Veterans Day is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, to honor, support, and thank all those who have served in the U.S. military, past and present. The day of reflection has been set aside since the end of World War I.

With that in mind:

  1. I’m giving a talk out of town this afternoon about the central Iowa family who lost three sons during WWII. My favorite chauffeur, a Vietnam vet, is investing his Veterans Day to take me, and maybe sell a few books about the Wilson family.
