Waving a magic wand

On August 5, 1926, in one of his last public stunts, American magician Harry Houdini spent 91 minutes buried alive in an underwater airtight coffin, beating rival magician Rahman Bey’s time of one hour.

Houdini, a world famous escape artist, illusionist, and stunt performer, repeated the feat twice more in preparation to revive his traveling stage show. Unfortunately, Houdini died a few months later of acute appendicitis.

I tend to be a “seeing is believing” kind of guy, but I’m a big believer in the power of magic in our lives. Here’s a few thoughts:

  1. This post is magical, Brian. I love the quotes and your lead-in with Houdini. I am always amazed that magic happens when we look for it so I appreciate this post to start my day. I have a feeling it will be magical!! Hope yours is too! ❤

  2. These are beautiful and inspiring quotes! Thank you Brian for gathering and sharing these quotes. I think believing is half the battle. It’s how Jesus performed miracles, they knew he would heel them, and he did. I believe…hugs, C
