No leprechauns here. No shillelaghs. No corned beef and cabbage. And no lucky four-leaf clovers either.
But lots of hope and good will.
The middle of March can be a tough one. In the Northern Hemisphere, winter more often than not still has a firm grip on folks. Spring played a captivating temptress last week. It pushed temperatures into the 70s (Fahrenheit), but it won’t take over for another few weeks. That’s where St. Patrick’s Day comes in. It’s the perfect celebration.
St. Patrick’s Day comes when we need it most.

I’m not sure about the rest of the world but in my little neck of the woods, the day reminds us that life brings rain and sunshine. It has its ups and it downs. But in March, everyone can use an Irish blessing to help them on their journey.
Here’s one to help you through your day. You’ve probably seen this one a thousand times or two, but it’s still a beautiful image and thought.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
“May the road rise to meet you,
and the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm on your face
and the rains fall softly on your fields.
And until we meet again
May God hold you gently in the palm of his hand.

Yes, on St. Patrick’s day, we’re all Irish. Raise a glass. Hug a friend. Make a new one if you can. And celebrate the best in all of us.
Sláinte!

Love this, my friend! My dad used to read this Irish blessing to us at the start of holiday meals, funerals, and lots of other momentous occasions. We had the Irish blessing on plaques all over the house growing up. Thank you for reminding me of this today and always! Hope you have the best day. ☘️❤️☘️❤️

Never can hear that Irish blessing too much. Thanks for the perspective on St. Patrick’s Day. It’s more than just a day to dig out your green clothing! P.S. I don’t know about your weather, but it was 78 degrees on Saturday and 29 degrees yesterday. Talk about teasing us!
